What to Expect.

The prestigious Hair Pro Awards celebrates the exceptional talent and achievements of industry professionals, honouring their dedication and artistry in the world of hair.

What makes us different?

The Hair Pro Awards were launched to fill a significant gap in the industry. While many awards exist, none are exclusively created by hair professionals, for hair professionals.

Our mission is to:

  • Celebrate both creativity and commercial excellence in hairdressing.

  • Ensure nominations come from Hair Professionals and clients, with judging by Master Hair Professionals and those who understand and know the industry inside out.

  • Recognise those who elevate the industry, support the economy, and demonstrate professionalism.

  • Promote values such as sustainability, continual professional development (CPD), and a holistic approach to hairdressing.

  • Advocate for state registration, certifying hair professionals as qualified, insured, and professional.

Congratulations and good luck to everyone who was nominated and/or entered the awards this year! The judging process has now begun and we can’t wait to start notifying the lucky finalists over the coming weeks.

CRITERIA FOR ENTERING:

  • YOU MUST BE STATE REGISTERED WITH THE HAIR COUNCIL TO ENTER - Please complete your state registration prior to entering next years awards.

  • You do NOT need to be a member of the Purple Hearts Club to enter the awards, however members are entitled to priority access to the event plus the chance to be nominated/awarded in 4 additional and exclusive categories.

  • Honouring an exceptional hair professional whose artistry, innovation, and dedication set a benchmark in the industry, inspiring peers and clients alike.

  • Recognising the most talented stylist whose creative vision and technical skills set them apart, showcasing exceptional hair design and client satisfaction.

  • Honouring a colourist who demonstrates exceptional skill in hair colouring techniques, creating stunning, trend-setting looks that enhance their clients' beauty.

  • Celebrating the hair professional who excels in creating breathtaking bridal hairstyles, ensuring brides look flawless on their special day.

  • Acknowledging an outstanding educator/lecturer in the hair industry, who inspires and nurtures future talent through innovative teaching methods and a passion for hairdressing.

  • Celebrating the barber who showcases exceptional skill in men’s grooming and hairstyling, elevating traditional techniques with modern flair.

  • Recognising a promising student or apprentice who demonstrates exceptional talent, dedication, and potential in their journey within the hairdressing profession.

  • Honouring a salon that exemplifies excellence in service, atmosphere, and team performance, creating an outstanding experience for every client.

  • PH CLUB MEMBERS EXCLUSIVE CATEGORY: Honouring a PH Club educator whose significant efforts and education has greatly influenced Purple Hearts members on their journey, inspiring progress and excellence.

  • PH CLUB MEMBERS EXCLUSIVE CATEGORY: Celebrating the WELOVE Ambassador who effectively represents the industry, promoting its values and standards while inspiring others through passion and leadership.

  • PH CLUB MEMBERS EXCLUSIVE CATEGORY: The lucky and deserving winner of our Purple Hearts Club Competition, showing exception collaboration, not competition, skills and talent amongst the hair professionals community.
